The Aldon Automotive Amethyst Mappable Ignition System is designed for distributor-based ignition systems and offers superior control and customisation options. This system allows you to configure ignition curves using your laptop via a USB connection, thanks to the included software package. You can also set a soft cut rev limit up to 10,000 RPM for enhanced performance. This versatile system is compatible with any distributor system, whether it uses points or Aldon Ignitor electronic ignition. With inputs for RPM, vacuum, boost, and throttle position, you can match ignition advance to your engine's unique characteristics for improved drive-ability and efficiency. You can choose from pre-loaded ignition maps or modify them as needed. Alternatively, you can upload your existing advance curve for even greater flexibility. The Amethyst Mappable Ignition System from Aldon Automotive is an excellent choice for enhancing engine performance, drive-ability, and economy. Its advanced mapping capabilities enable much more precise ignition control compared to traditional bob weight and vacuum advance distributor systems. The system automatically calculates dwell angles for optimal spark delivery with minimal coil loading. If desired, you can also manually adjust the dwell angle for further fine-tuning. This system is particularly well-suited for tuned engines that have different camshafts and higher rev ranges. Available in two options - one for naturally aspirated engines using vacuum or throttle position as well as RPM for mapping, and another for turbocharged engines that can be configured to either advance or retard ignition on boost - the Amethyst System provides exceptional performance improvements for a wide range of applications.
