The Arai GP-7 SRC ABP Carbon Helmet is a groundbreaking piece of motorsport equipment, engineered to meet the rigorous safety standards of FIA 8860-2018 Advanced Ballistic Protection (ABP) the same standard mandated in Formula 1 since 2019. Crafted from lightweight yet formidable hand-laid carbon fibre, its shell is contoured to accommodate a frontal head restraint device (FHR). The innovative SRC (Super Racing Carbon) construction differentiates from regular carbon by flexing without splintering, transferring any outer flex to the multi-density inner shell. This results in unmatched protection for the wearer during high-impact events. The helmet's visor system incorporates a lever mechanism for effortless operation within the confined spaces of single-seater cockpits or when wearing gloves. FIA-approved fire-resistant lining ensures additional safety, while the multi-density hybrid inner shell and emergency release tab cheek pads cater to the needs of racers. The visor aperture boasts increased dimensions for an expanded field of vision and is compatible with tear-offs (available separately). The helmet's ventilation system includes five intake vents (two on the chin bar, three adjustable scoops) and two output vents on the crown, featuring a 25% diameter increase. This ensures optimal comfort and enhanced ventilation for superior visor clarity. The Arai GP-7 SRC ABP Carbon Helmet comes with the renowned PED spoiler kit and factory-supplied HANS/FHR posts. While the shell is delivered in a clear finish, it's ready for custom painting or lacquering to showcase the visible carbon weave. Please note: this helmet does not include any top vents (vent holes remain open). Each purchase includes a package with various ventilation parts so that drivers can choose what best suits their driving position and preferences based on their personal requirements. The included package contains: Performance Enhancement Device (PED) kit (front and rear spoiler set), Screw Kit (4 torx screws, 4 washers & 1 pressure plate set), Vent kit (7 tear ducts, 2 TDF3, 1 XDB2), Post anchor set, Torx (T20) screwdriver, Sticker set (2 x 11cm, 2 x 9cm with masking film for custom painting, 2 x 5.5cm).
