The SuperPro Front Lower Torque Arm Insert is designed to upgrade the existing engine mounts with firmer polyurethane bushes. This enhances traction and improves gear changes while reducing power loss. Engine mounts are meant to strike a balance between allowing some movement and preventing excessive noise and vibration in the cabin. However, with increased torque and harder driving, the rubber used can prove too soft, leading to excessive movement. The engine rocking under load is a major issue as it puts extra strain on the exhaust system and affects handling. By replacing the original parts with firmer polyurethane, these issues can be avoided. The firm bushes are mounted into the original engine assembly in place of the rubber originals, providing a tighter fit. The original engine mounts tend to become soft and brittle over time, leading to the same problems. Polyurethane does not wear out in the same way, making it ideal for replacing worn originals or as a preventative measure on older cars. Three compounds are available: 70K SHORE is the softest compound recommended for diesel engines and can be used on petrol engines, offering a firmer fit than the original parts. The 80K SHORE is a medium firmness compound suitable for sports/street use on most petrol-engined cars, providing both handling enhancement and insulation from NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). The 90K SHORE is recommended for track-use, offering the greatest degree of improvement in firmness but transmitting more vibration into the cabin.
