The SuperPro Front Lower Torque Arm Insert is an innovative solution designed to replace the rubber bushes in existing engine mounts with firmer polyurethane, providing a more durable and effective alternative for car enthusiasts. This upgrade enables the reduction of power loss, improves traction, and results in more positive gear changes. The original engine mounts were designed to balance insulation from noise and vibration with the need to allow some movement, leaning towards comfort over performance. However, as the torque output increases or the driving style becomes more aggressive, the rubber used can prove too soft, leading to excessive movement under load. This results in added stress on the exhaust system, reduces the full transmission of engine torque, and affects handling. By replacing the original parts with firmer polyurethane, these issues can be avoided. The polyurethane inserts are mounted into the original engine mount assembly, providing a more stable and efficient operation. The rubber used in the original engine mounts tends to become soft and brittle over time, leading to the same problems. This is another advantage of polyurethane, as it does not wear out in the same way. Depending on the application, three compounds are available: * 70K SHORE: The softest compound, recommended for diesel engines or petrol engines where a firmer but still softer material is required. * 80K SHORE: A medium-firmness compound suitable for sports/street use on most petrol-engined cars. It offers enhanced handling and NVH insulation while providing a fair degree of firmness. * 90K SHORE: Recommended for track-use, offering the greatest improvement in firmness but transmitting more vibration into the cabin. By utilizing these inserts, you can enjoy improved performance, handling, and traction, making them an ideal solution for replacing worn originals or as a preventative measure on older cars.
