Take your driving experience to the next level with the Piper Manifold Back Exhaust System featuring De Cat. Crafted from robust T304 stainless steel, this exhaust system combines durable construction with high performance, ensuring a sound that stands out and a product that endures.
When it comes to enhancing your vehicle's performance, the Piper Manifold Back Exhaust System with De Cat is engineered to make a substantial difference. Firstly, the Manifold Back configuration is designed to optimise the exhaust flow. This improvement enables your engine to breathe more efficiently, ultimately contributing to increased horsepower and torque.
Secondly, the De Cat feature plays a vital role by eliminating the catalytic converter, which often acts as a bottleneck, further boosting your vehicle's power output.
The materials and construction of the system are equally noteworthy for achieving this performance outcome. Crafted from T304 stainless steel, the system combines durability with high performance. Stainless steel is not just resilient; it offers superior corrosion resistance, ensuring that the system remains effective for years to come.
In terms of what is replaced, the Manifold Back system would replace everything from the manifold with redesigned pipework, including downpipe/centre section, back box, and tailpipes dependent on the specific system and vehicle, thereby streamlining the exhaust flow for better performance.
The Piper Slam Series exhausts are specifically engineered for Mazda MX5 s to provide additional underbody clearance, a feature particularly beneficial for lowered vehicles. Designed to sit closer to the vehicle's body, these systems effectively minimise the risk of ground contact when navigating over speed bumps or uneven surfaces.
In summary, if enhancing your vehicle's overall performance is your ultimate goal, this exhaust system offers a comprehensive solution. With features like Manifold Back configuration and De Cat, coupled with robust T304 stainless steel construction, you're looking at a significant upgrade that effectively amplifies your vehicle's horsepower and torque.
PLEASE BE AWARE: Sports cats can NOT legally be installed on a vehicle for use on a public road that was manufactured after 1st March 2001 unless type ECE 103R approved (Identified by '103R' in the exhaust product title). Fitting a De Cat/Cat Bypass or GPF delete/bypass to a vehicle that is to be used on UK roads will cause the vehicle to fail the MOT emissions test, therefore rendering it unroadworthy and illegal to use on the road.
Generally speaking, replacing your stock cat will also require a remap, as the ECU will be getting different readings from the Lambda sensors in the exhaust which will probably read as an error. Normally an upgraded cat is an essential part of the highest-performing upgrade packages.
