dba's 5000 Series T3 Slotted Brake Discs are upgraded 2-piece brake discs, perfect for car enthusiasts seeking high performance. Featuring a lightweight aluminium hub and cast-iron rotor, these discs offer excellent resistance to harsh, repeated stops. With a 2-piece design, the hubs are made of T6 aluminium, which not only reduces unsprung weight but also enhances handling by allowing the rotor to expand outwards without warping. The slotted face, inspired by dba's T3 unidirectional slot design, offers sustained use while remaining quieter and smoother than many slotted designs. It can be used on both sides of the car due to its unidirectional pattern. The kangaroo paw vent design is a significant advantage over traditional cooling vane patterns. Instead of metal vanes running straight from hub to edge, dba's complex "kangaroo paw" pattern uses less material, reducing weight while increasing the surface area exposed to air drawn through the brake disc. The result? Improved heat dissipation and even better braking performance. The discs also come with dba's Thermo-Graphic Heat Paint technology. This heat paint changes colour as temperature thresholds are reached, indicating when it's time to take a break from hard driving and allow the brakes to cool down. Combine these with compatible pads and brake fluids for optimal performance.
