The Nankang AR-1 Tyre, specifically designed for high performance, is the latest evolution in track day tyres. This superior tyre features a Kevlar lining, ideal for sizes 17" and larger, which improves stability at speed and consistency. The design has been perfected for increased stability and consistency, making it an excellent choice for demanding tracks such as Nrburgring. As a control tyre used by the M3 Cup, 330 Challenge and Classic VW Cup, as well as a podium-winning tyre in open tyre series like CSCC New Millennium and 750MC Club Enduro, this tyre has proven its exceptional on-track capabilities. With List 1B approval, it is perfect for track day drivers looking to improve their performance, particularly in dry conditions. For optimal performance, Nankang recommends the following settings: * Vehicle weight: Up to 800kg - 23-27.5 psi * 800-1000kg vehicle weight - 24-32 psi * 1000-1400kg vehicle weight - 27.5 to 37 psi * Over 1400kg vehicle weight - 34-42 psi Tread depth is 5.5mm, with a treadwear rating of 100. The optimal operating temperature is between 71° and 104°C. Camber settings should be between -1° and -3°. To handle any issues, Nankang suggests adjusting tyre pressures in small increments: * To reduce oversteer: Reduce rear pressures or increase front pressures * To increase oversteer: Increase rear pressures or reduce front pressures * To reduce understeer: Reduce front pressures or increase rear pressures * To increase understeer: Increase front pressures or reduce rear pressures Important to note: tyres listed as "Motorsport Use Only" are NOT E-marked for road use.
