Powerflex Engine Mount Dog Bone Bush - Volkswagen Golf MK4 (1997 - 2006) 4motion

The Powerflex Engine Mount Dog Bone Bush is designed to provide high-performance upgraded polyurethane engine and gearbox mounts for the Volkswagen Golf MK4 (1997-2006) 4motion. The stock mounts are designed with Noise, Vibration, and Harshness in mind, but they may not be ideal for the extra stresses caused by spirited road or track driving. Upgrading to a Powerflex Engine Mount allows for less flex in the engine mounting, resulting in less engine movement while still offering superb sound damping. This leads to less wasted power, sharper gear changes, and less stress transmitted to the downpipe. The upgraded mount reduces noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) significantly. Powerflex offers different compounds, each with its unique characteristics. The red compound mounts (product code usually ends in R) are the softest on offer, ideal for diesel engines as they soak up the most NVH. They can still be used on petrol engines, but it's recommended to use them for diesels that produce more vibration. The yellow compound is the middle ground and not normally recommended for diesel due to transmitting a lot of NVH. The purple compound mounts (product code usually ends in P) are the stiffest compound short of the black series, recommended for track use as they experience additional NVH. Lastly, the black series bushes may be available for some cars, using the hardest compound Powerflex makes and transmitting a lot of NVH but offering the most rigidity short of a solid engine mount. The upgraded engine mounts are designed to provide improved performance, reduced noise, vibration, and harshness while allowing spirited road or track driving without compromising on sound quality.
