Powerflex Engine Mount - Position 10 on Diagram The high-performance upgraded Polyurethane engine & gearbox mounts offered by Powerflex are designed to address the limitations of stock mounts in terms of noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). For drivers who engage in spirited road or track driving, an upgraded engine mount is essential. The enhanced rigidity provided by a Powerflex engine mount results in less flex in the engine mounting, resulting in improved engine movement and sharper gear changes. Powerflex offers a range of compounds to cater to different driving needs. The red compound mounts (product code ending in R) are designed for diesel engines, providing excellent NVH absorption. These are ideal for diesel engines but can also be used on petrol engines. They offer better noise and vibration absorption compared to stiffer compounds. The yellow compound mounts provide a middle ground, not typically recommended for diesel engines as they transmit a lot of NVH. Purple compound mounts (product code ending in P) are the stiffest compound short of the black series, suitable for track use. These will experience additional NVH but offer improved rigidity. Black series bushes may be available for some cars, using the hardest compound Powerflex makes and transmitting more NVH while providing increased rigidity. The upgraded engine mount from Powerflex allows for less flex in the engine mounting, resulting in less engine movement, sharper gear changes, and less stress transmitted to the downpipe. This results in wasted power reduction, improved sound damping, and a superior driving experience. Whether you're on the track or spirited road driving, Powerflex engine mounts offer unparalleled performance.
