Powerflex Black Series Lower Engine Mount Insert Kit: Enhanced Performance and Sound Damping The Powerflex Black Series Lower Engine Mount Insert Kit offers an upgraded solution for spirited road or track driving. Unlike stock engine mounts, which prioritize noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), this high-performance kit is designed to provide improved sound damping and reduced engine movement. The upgraded polyurethane engine mount from Powerflex allows less flex in the engine mounting, resulting in sharper gear changes, less power wasted, and decreased stress transmitted to the downpipe. This means a more efficient driving experience, with enhanced performance and responsiveness. The Powerflex Black Series Lower Engine Mount Insert Kit is available with different compounds to suit various needs. The Red compound (product code ending in R) is the softest option, ideal for diesel engines due to its ability to soak up NVH. However, it can still be used on petrol engines and will provide better sound damping than the stock engine mount. The Yellow compound offers a middle ground, suitable for those who want to strike a balance between performance and noise reduction. The Purple compound (product code ending in P) is stiffer and recommended for track use, as it provides additional NVH but may not be suitable for diesel engines. Lastly, the Black Series bushes are available for select cars, using the hardest compound Powerflex makes. This option provides the most rigidity short of a solid engine mount but will transmit more NVH.
