Powerflex Front Upper Engine Mount Insert

The Powerflex Front Upper Engine Mount Insert is an upgraded polyurethane engine mount designed to provide improved performance and reduce noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) in spirited road or track driving. The upgraded mount allows for less flex in the engine mounting, resulting in less engine movement, and provides superb sound damping. This results in sharper gear changes, less wasted power, and reduced stress transmitted to the downpipe. The Powerflex Front Upper Engine Mount Insert is available in various compounds, each suited for specific applications. Red compound mounts (product code ending in R) are the softest on offer, ideal for diesel engines as they soak up the most NVH. They can also be used on petrol engines and will still provide improved performance compared to factory engine mounts. Yellow compound mounts are the middle ground, not normally recommended for diesel engines due to transmitting a lot of NVH. Purple compound mounts (product code ending in P) are the stiffest compound short of the black series and are recommended for track use only. They will experience additional NVH but provide improved rigidity compared to softer compounds. For those seeking the ultimate performance, Powerflex's Black series bushes may be available for some cars. These use the hardest compound Powerflex makes and will transmit a lot of NVH but offer the most rigidity short of a solid engine mount. The Powerflex Front Upper Engine Mount Insert is designed to provide improved performance without sacrificing comfort or compromising safety. By reducing NVH, this upgraded engine mount ensures spirited road or track driving can be enjoyed with confidence.
