The K&N Orion Universal Air Intake System is an advanced enclosed airbox, engineered for seamless integration into high-flow cold-air intake systems. Its universal design caters to a wide array of automobiles, ensuring versatility and compatibility with various vehicle models. The intelligent layout permits flexible installation at various locations within the intake tract, maximising its adaptability. The enclosed airbox construction minimises power loss and ensures exceptional airflow despite its compact dimensions (157mm x 223mm). Housing a large conical filter, this airbox effectively supports engines producing over 500BHP with minimal restriction. K&N's innovative Orion design boasts a streamlined form factor while maintaining outstanding airflow capabilities. Its universal nature enables effortless installation in diverse engine configurations, guaranteeing uncompromised performance irrespective of the intake tract's orientation. The 4" intake tract should draw cold air for optimal results, and the 3" outlet tract must maintain a reasonably straight course to the engine inlet for optimal effectiveness. The enclosed design of this airbox provides an acoustic advantage over open cone designs, offering better control over noise levels while still capitalising on the benefits of cold air induction. Cold air is denser and contains a higher concentration of oxygen molecules, which can significantly enhance combustion efficiency and ultimately contribute to increased power output. Although the package does not include clamps or a dedicated cold air feed, you have the freedom to mount this airbox anywhere in your engine bay for maximum convenience. This flexibility is particularly advantageous when addressing unique installations on heavily modified engines where the original airbox may no longer be viable. Please note that additional components may be required for proper installation and that this product is not designed for use with specific vehicle models.
