This AIM Motorsport Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Kart Sensor is specifically tailored for kart engines like KF/KZ, including T12 Rotax and X30. Its advanced design allows it to measure the exhaust gas temperature with precision using a thermocouple strategically placed in the exhaust header pipe, ensuring quick and accurate data reading. Compatible with all MyChron kart dash/data loggers such as MyChron5 S and MyChron4, this sensor is built to withstand the demands of professional motorsport. The EGT Kart Sensor features a 2-pin mignon plug for easy installation, making it suitable for various fitments including KZ and KF kart engines. Note that different configurations are available based on your requirements: For MyChron4/5 (1 Temperature) with a single input on the back of the dash, choose a sensor paired with a patch lead that directly connects to the dash. A spare sensor without a patch lead is also recommended for additional versatility or for use with a second race engine. For MyChron4/5 2T (2 Temperature) with two temperature inputs, sensors without patch leads are required; these sensors will be connected to the dash using the single supplied patch lead that splits into two connections. It is advisable to have spare sensors on hand for added convenience or when working with multiple race engines. Don't forget that if you wish to monitor both exhaust (EGT) and underplug temperatures (CHT), you will need to use a Double Temperature Patch Lead equipped with two Mignon yellow plugs.
