However, please be advised that sports cats cannot legally be installed on vehicles manufactured after 1st March 2001 for use on public roads in the UK unless they are type ECE 103R approved. Fitting a De Cat/Cat Bypass or GPF delete/bypass to such vehicles will cause them to fail the MOT emissions test, rendering them unroadworthy and illegal. Additionally, fitting a De Cat will usually require a remap, as the ECU will receive different readings from the Lambda sensors in the exhaust, which may trigger errors.
