Wilwood Forged Narrow Superlite 6 Brake Caliper Radial Mount - 1.10" Disc Thickness - Left Hand Black

The Wilwood Forged Narrow Superlite 6R (FNSL) is the latest evolution in the renowned Wilwood Superlite caliper series, boasting radial mounting for simplified adaptation and enhanced accuracy. This cutting-edge caliper design integrates advanced technology to deliver exceptional stopping power across a broad range of vehicle applications. At the heart of the FNSL's superior performance lies its extremely durable and efficient body design, which is the result of computer-generated solid modeling and FEA stress analysis technology. Weighing in at just 4.9 pounds, each body is stress-flow forged from premium-grade aluminum alloy billets using a proprietary process that re-aligns the metal's internal grain structure to flow within the caliper body's contour. This cutting-edge forging technique eliminates stresses and interruptions to the internal grain structure, ensuring a stronger aluminum caliper body. The FNSL calipers feature a unique six-piston differential bore configuration designed for balanced loading, ensuring even pad wear in high-heat environments. Stainless steel pistons are employed for their slow heat transfer properties and high resistance to corrosion. For enhanced thermal efficiency, Wilwood's exclusive Thermlock pistons can be integrated into the design, further reducing heat transfer from the pads to caliper body, seals, and fluid. Each FNSL is equipped with SRS bridge plates, which eliminate all bridge wear caused by pad gouging, extending the service life of the caliper. The spring-loaded action of these plates also eliminates pad rattle and dampens the harmonic vibrations contributing to pad squeal. Two-piece bleed screws on each end and internal fluid crossovers prevent damage from track debris and other potential damage sources. High-temperature, square-faced bore seals provide the largest possible sealing area and controlled piston retraction on release. The full range of Wilwood pad compounds is available to match the brake response and heat range of any competition or sports driving application. Calipers are handed and sold individually.
