The Tillett B7 Ultra Lightweight Seat - 44cm, Black is a high performance carbon fibre competition seat designed for the most demanding racing environments. With its impressive weight of just 3.8kg, it is one of the lightest FIA homologated seats available on the market. The B7 shares the shape and dimensions of the popular Tillett B6 seat but with reduced weight, positioning the driver lower in the car for improved comfort and a lowered centre of gravity. This ultra-lightweight seat is perfect for reducing vehicle weight and is suitable for narrow cockpit cars such as Caterham, Westfield, and Lotus Elise. Its body mirroring shell shape provides high levels of comfort while also offering maximum chassis feedback to the driver. The Tillett B7 is designed and manufactured in the UK using a twin skin design which ensures rigidity and enhances driver feedback. Despite its narrow 40cm (at widest point) design, it can accommodate most driver shapes and sizes comfortably. High side bolsters provide excellent lateral support while also offering impact protection for the legs. The ergonomic shape of the seat has been designed to provide optimum support with high levels of comfort even without padding. The B7 is suitable for drivers up to 100kg with a 36" (91.4cm) waist, while its XL size can accommodate drivers up to 130kg with a 40" (102cm) waist. It accepts 4, 5, and 6-point belts and is compatible with FHR (HANS) devices for added safety. The Tillett B7's narrow design makes it ideal for use in small cockpit cars where space is at a premium. Both the standard size and XL size have identical internal dimensions, but the external rolled edge has been removed from the 40cm width variant to allow for fitment into tight cockpits. A Dinamica suede covered headrest pad comes as standard with this untrimmed seat, while a 2-piece pad set trimmed in Dinamica suede is available for additional purchase.
