The HANS Pro Ultra Lite Device boasts a remarkable lightweight construction, leveraging the Carbon-Fibre Pro-Series expertise to deliver an exceptional new shape that meets the stringent FIA 8858-2010 certification standards. By shedding an impressive 100g of weight, it becomes the lightest FHR device on the market, making it ideal for easier entry and exit in smaller, tighter vehicles. The aerospace-grade, 100% Carbon-Fibre construction features a hollow core, which results in substantial weight savings. Moreover, this device comes equipped with sliding tethers as standard, providing greater visibility and comfort. The soft shoulder pads are also fitted as standard to ensure additional comfort. The HANS Pro Ultra Lite is available with two recline options: a 30-degree recline for single-seater sports cars or a 20-degree recline, making it suitable for saloon or rally cars with a more upright seating position. The sliding tethers are included as standard, providing greater freedom of movement. This device comes in two sizes: Medium (up to 17" or 43cm collar size) and Large (over 17" or 43cm collar size). The weight of the Medium version is 550g, including padding and tethers, while the Large version weighs 580g. The FIA 8858-2010 approval ensures compliance with regulatory standards. It's worth noting that Hans posts are not included and can be purchased separately if required. Additionally, Motorsport UK competitors must use an FHR in sanctioned events. For stage rally competitors, all drivers must use an FHR, while circuit racing drivers in post-1976 cars require an FHR. For pre-1977 cars, an FHR is highly recommended. Demon Tweeks recommends harnesses with 2/3" or 2" wide shoulder straps for optimal fit with all FHR's.
