The Simpson Female Specific Hybrid Sport Head and Neck Restraint has been designed specifically for female motorsport competitors, providing a superior protection and comfort experience. This innovative device is visually identical to the original Hybrid device but has been shaped and angled to accommodate the female form. The Female Specific Hybrid Sport device is the only FIA 8858-2010 approved Head and Neck Restraint on the market that provides protection during front, offset, and side impacts. Its unique design allows for easy exit from the car without getting hung up on other gear, sitting comfortably on the back/shoulders instead of over the chest or collarbone. The Hybrid Sport device is an evolution of the Hybrid Pro Rage, offering improved design and technology at the same price range as the old model. Weighing 20% less than the large, including hardware, it features a sleek, modern, and appealing DuPont carbon/polymer construction with defined wings for better harness containment. The sliding tethers and multi-tether system enhance side-to-side range of motion and field of vision, providing maximum comfort and manoeuvrability. The Hybrid Sport is both SFI 38.1 and FIA certified, offering unrivalled angular impact protection and device stability. The device boasts a low profile with no high back to hook on the bars on exit, making it ideal for competitors who need a minimalist design and compact size under 7. Multiple load paths dissipate head loads, and the buckle attachment is securely positioned in front, eliminating bulky straps underneath. The Hybrid Sport comes ready to fit to your existing FIA Hans posts or can be specified with optional M61 quick release tethers/anchors. The M61 anchors are fitted in place of your original Hans posts, providing a convenient option for drivers who want to use the Hybrid device with helmets that have standard fitment HANS anchors already fitted. The M61 Quick Release Option provides both the M61 helmet anchors and quick release tethers/straps, allowing drivers to release the restraint by a simple pull on the cord attached to the helmet. Approved for helmets FIA 8858-2010 standard or higher, this option is ideal for Rallying where the helmet may be taken on and off more frequently. The device weighs approximately 956 grams complete and has been FIA 8858-2010 approved. Please note that the image shown illustrates the sliding tethers of the full carbon Hybrid Pro Slide model, which works similarly to the composite version. For competitors participating in Motorsport events sanctioned by Motorsport UK, please note that all stage rally competitors must use an FHR, and circuit racing drivers in post 1976 cars must use an FHR. Demon Tweeks highly recommends harnesses with 2/3" or 2" wide shoulder straps for use with all FHRs to provide the best fit.
