The Hybrid Sport is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, boasting a 20% weight reduction while maintaining the same price point. Its sleek, modern design features defined wings for better harness containment and boasts a low profile with no high back to hook on the bars during exit. The sliding tethers and multi-tether system provide enhanced side-to-side range of motion and field of vision. This device is both SFI 38.1 and FIA certified, offering unrivalled angular impact protection and device stability. Its compact size makes it easy to fit under the existing FIA Hans posts or with optional M61 quick release tethers/anchors. The Hybrid Sport comes ready to fit, supplied with either the M61 helmet anchors and quick release tethers or straps. The M61 anchors are fitted in place of original Hans posts, allowing drivers to use the Hybrid device with helmets that have standard fitment HANS anchors. Both M61 helmet anchors and quick release tethers/straps are included with the M61 Quick Release Option. The Hybrid Sport features a buckle attachment at the front, eliminating bulky straps underneath, ensuring multiple load paths for dissipating head loads. Its minimalistic design makes it an attractive choice for competitors in motorsport events sanctioned by Motorsport UK. For stage rally competitors and circuit racing drivers, Simpson highly recommends using harnesses with 2/3" or 2" wide shoulder straps to provide the best fit with all FHRs. This device weighs approximately 956 grams complete and is approved to FIA 8858-2010 standards.
