The Simpson Female Specific Hybrid Sport Head and Neck Restraint, designed specifically for female motorsport competitors, offers superior protection while providing a comfortable and adjustable fit. The device's harnesses have been shaped and angled to accommodate the female form, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit. The Simpson Hybrid devices are the only FIA 8858-2010 approved Head and Neck Restraint on the market that provide protection during front, offset, and side impacts. They are designed for easy exit from the car, eliminating the risk of getting hung up on other gear. The device sits on the back/shoulders, rather than over the chest or collarbone, providing maximum comfort and manoeuvrability. The Hybrid Sport device is an evolution of the Hybrid Pro Rage, offering improved design and technology at the same price range as the old model. It's 20% lighter, including hardware, and features a sleek, modern, and appealing DuPont carbon/polymer construction with defined wings for better harness containment. The sliding tethers and multi-tether system enhance side-to-side range of motion and field of vision. The Hybrid Sport is both SFI 38.1 and FIA certified, offering unrivalled angular impact protection and device stability. Its low profile design ensures it won't interfere with the bars on exit, making it easy to use. The compact size, weighing under 7 pounds, features multiple load paths to dissipate head loads, with buckle attachment in front and no bulky straps underneath. The Hybrid Sport comes ready to fit to your existing FIA Hans posts or can be specified with optional M61 quick release tethers/anchors. These M61 anchors are fitted in place of your original Hans posts, providing a quick release option for the driver. Both the M61 helmet anchors and the quick release tethers/straps are included. The Hybrid Sport is designed to work seamlessly with helmets that have standard fitment HANS anchors or can be retro-fitted for FIA 8858-2002/FIA 8858-2010 standards or higher. The M61 Quick Release Option allows drivers to release the restraint by a simple pull on the cord attached to the helmet, ideal for Rallying where the helmet may be taken on and off more frequently. The device weighs approximately 956 grams complete, and is FIA 8858-2010 approved. Please note that the image shown illustrates the slide tethers of the full carbon Hybrid Pro Slide model; the sliding tethers work similarly on the composite version. For competitors participating in Motorsport events sanctioned by Motorsport UK, all stage rally competitors must use an FHR, and circuit racing drivers in post-1976 cars must use an FHR. For circuit racing drivers in pre-1977 cars, an FHR is highly recommended. Demon Tweeks strongly recommends harnesses with 2/3" or 2" wide shoulder straps for use with all FHRs to provide the best fit.
