The Simpson Female Specific Hybrid Sport Head & Neck Restraint, designed specifically for female motorsport competitors, provides superior protection without compromising on fit and comfort. The device's harnesses have been shaped and angled to accommodate the female form, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit. The Simpson Hybrid devices are the only FIA 8858-2010 approved Head and Neck Restraint on the market that provide protection during front, offset, and side impacts. They feature a unique design that allows for easy exit from the car without getting hung up on other gear. The device sits on the back/shoulders, not over the chest or collarbone as with traditional HANS-type devices. The Hybrid Sport device is an evolution of the Hybrid Pro Rage, offering improved design and technology at the same price range as the old model. It's 20% lighter in weight, including hardware, and features a sleek, modern DuPont carbon/polymer construction with defined wings for better harness containment. The sliding tethers and multi-tether system provide an increased side-to-side range of motion and field of vision. The Hybrid Sport is both SFI 38.1 and FIA certified, offering unrivalled angular impact protection and device stability. Its low profile design ensures no high back to hook on the bars when exiting the car, making it a more compact and minimalist design. The Hybrid Sport is supplied ready to fit to your existing FIA Hans posts or can be specified with optional M61 quick release tethers/anchors. These M61 anchors replace your original Hans posts, providing an easy-to-use hybrid device with helmets that have standard fitment HANS anchors already fitted. The M61 helmet anchors and quick release tethers/straps are included with the M61 - Quick Release Option, allowing drivers to use the Hybrid device with FIA 8858-2002/FIA 8858-2010 standard or higher approved helmets. The M61 Quick Release Option is ideal for Rallying where the helmet may be taken on and off more frequently. The Simpson Female Specific Hybrid Sport Head & Neck Restraint weighs approximately 956 grams complete, making it a lightweight yet highly effective safety device. Please note that the image shown illustrates the slide tethers of the full carbon Hybrid Pro Slide model. The sliding tethers work similarly on the composite version. For competitors competing in Motorsport events sanctioned by Motorsport UK, all stage rally competitors must use an FHR, and circuit racing drivers in post-1976 cars must use an FHR. For circuit racing drivers in pre-1977 cars, an FHR is highly recommended. Demonstr Tweeks strongly recommends harnesses with 2/3" or 2" wide shoulder straps for use with all FHRs to provide the best fit.
