The Simpson Hybrid Sport Head and Neck Restraint is a cutting-edge innovation designed to provide unparalleled safety and protection to car enthusiasts. As the only FIA 8858-2010 approved device on the market, it offers comprehensive protection against front, offset, and side impacts. This innovative device is designed to allow easy exit from the car without the risk of getting hung up on other gear. It sits comfortably on the back/shoulders, unlike old HANS-type devices that sit over the chest or collarbone. The Simpson Hybrid Sport provides maximum comfort and manoeuvrability while ensuring optimal safety. An evolution of the Hybrid Pro Rage, this new device boasts improved design and technology at an unbeatable price point. Weighing 20% less than its predecessor, it features a sleek, modern DuPont carbon/polymer construction with defined wings for enhanced harness containment. The sliding tethers and multi-tether system offer increased visibility and side-to-side range of motion. The Simpson Hybrid Sport boasts both SFI 38.1 and FIA certifications, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of safety. Its low-profile design reduces the risk of getting caught on bars during exit, while its compact size makes it suitable for use under most conditions. The device features multiple load paths to dissipate head loads, buckle attachment in front, and no bulky straps underneath. The Simpson Hybrid Sport comes ready to fit to your existing FIA Hans posts or can be specified with optional M61 quick release tethers/anchors. These M61 anchors are fitted in place of your original Hans posts, and both the M61 helmet anchors and quick release tethers/straps are included with the M51 - Quick Release Option. The M61 helmet anchors allow drivers to use the Hybrid device with helmets that have standard fitment HANS anchors already fitted (or the correct approval to retro-fit anchors). Approved for helmets meeting FIA 8858-2002/FIA 8858-2010 standards or higher, these tethers enable drivers to release the restraint by a simple pull on the cord attached to the helmet. Ideal for rally drivers where the helmet may be taken on and off more frequently (i.e. between stages), this device weighs approximately 956 grams complete and meets FIA 8858-2010 standards. For competitors in Motorsport events sanctioned by Motorsport UK, all stage rally competitors must use an FHR, while circuit racing drivers in post 1976 cars must use an FHR. Demon Tweeks highly recommends harnesses with 2/3" or 2" wide shoulder straps for use with all FHR's to provide the best fit. This Simpson Hybrid Sport Head and Neck Restraint offers unparalleled safety and protection, making it an ideal choice for car enthusiasts who prioritize safety.
