The Simpson Female Specific Hybrid Sport Head and Neck Restraint - Large, Black, Optional M61 Quick Release System is designed specifically for female motorsport competitors, offering superior protection while ensuring comfort and fit. Simpson has listened to the feedback from numerous female motorsport competitors and has developed a hybrid device tailored to their needs. Visually similar to the original device, but with harnesses shaped and angled to accommodate the female form, these devices provide superior protection without compromising on fit and comfort. The Simpson Hybrid devices are the only FIA 8858-2010 approved Head and Neck Restraint on the market that provides protection during front, offset, and side impacts. They have been designed for easy exit from the car, eliminating the risk of getting hung up on other gear, sitting comfortably on the back/shoulders without compromising the chest or collarbone. Evolved from the Hybrid Pro Rage, the new Hybrid Sport device has improved design and technology, offering an enhanced product at the same price range as the old model. Weighing 20% less for the large, including hardware, the DuPont carbon/polymer construction is sleek, modern, and appealing with defined wings for better harness containment. The sliding tethers and multi-tether system enhance side-to-side range of motion and field of vision. The Hybrid Sport is both SFI 38.1 and FIA certified, offering increased visibility, unrivalled angular impact protection, and device stability. Its low profile ensures no high back to hook on the bars when exiting. The Hybrid Sport comes ready to fit to your existing FIA Hans posts or can be specified with optional M61 quick release tethers/anchors. These M61 anchors are fitted in place of your original Hans posts. Both the M61 helmet anchors and quick release tethers/straps are included with the M61 Quick Release Option. The M61 helmet anchors allow drivers to use the Hybrid device with helmets that have standard fitment HANS anchors already fitted (or retro-fit anchors). Approved for helmets FIA 8858-2002/FIA 8858-2010 standard or higher, these anchors are ideal for Rallying where the helmet may be taken on and off more frequently. The M61 Quick Release tethers allow drivers to release the restraint by a simple pull on the cord attached to the helmet. Approved for helmets FIA 8858-2010 standard or higher, these tethers are ideal for Rallying where the helmet may be taken on and off more frequently. Please note that the image shown is of the full carbon Hybrid Pro Slide model, but the sliding tethers work similarly on the composite version. The Hybrid Sport weighs approximately 956 grams complete and is FIA 8858-2010 approved. For competitors competing in Motorsport events sanctioned by Motorsport UK, all stage rally competitors must use an FHR, while circuit racing drivers in post-1976 cars must use an FHR. For circuit racing drivers in pre-1977 cars, an FHR is highly recommended. Demon Tweeks highly recommends harnesses with 2/3" or 2" wide shoulder straps for use with all FHR's to provide the best fit.
