Simpson's Female Specific Hybrid Sport Head and Neck Restraint - X-Small Black Standard HANS Posts, designed specifically for female motorsport competitors, marks a significant breakthrough in providing superior protection without compromising on fit and comfort. The innovative harnesses have been shaped and angled to take into account the female form, ensuring optimal fit and maximum comfort. The Simpson Hybrid devices are the only FIA 8858-2010 approved Head and Neck Restraint available on the market that provides unparalleled protection during front, offset, and side impacts. Unlike traditional HANS-type devices, this system sits comfortably on the back/shoulders, allowing for easy exit from the car without getting hung up on other gear. The Hybrid Sport device is an evolution of the Hybrid Pro Rage, boasting improved design and technology at a similar price range. Weighing 20% less than its predecessor, including hardware, the DuPont carbon/polymer construction is sleek, modern, and appealing with defined wings for better harness containment. The sliding tethers and multi-tether system enable greater side-to-side range of motion and field of vision. This SFI 38.1 and FIA certified device features a low profile design with no high back to hook on the bars during exit, ensuring minimalistic design and compact size under 7 inches. Multiple load paths are designed to dissipate head loads, and buckle attachment is in front, eliminating bulky straps underneath. The Hybrid Sport comes supplied ready to fit onto your existing FIA Hans posts or can be specified with optional M61 quick release tethers/anchors. The M61 helmet anchors and quick release tethers/straps are included with the M61 Quick Release Option. Both the M61 helmet anchors and the quick release tethers allow drivers to use the Hybrid device with helmets that have standard fitment HANS anchors already fitted (or the correct approval to retro-fit anchors). The M61 Quick Release allows drivers to release the restraint by a simple pull on the cord attached to the helmet, ideal for Rallying where the helmet may be taken on and off more frequently between stages. The weight of the Hybrid Sport is approximately 956 grams complete. Please note that the image shown illustrates the slide tethers of the full carbon Hybrid Pro Slide model; the sliding tethers work similarly on the composite version. For competitors participating in Motorsport events sanctioned by Motorsport UK, please be aware that all stage rally competitors must use an FHR, and circuit racing drivers in post-1976 cars must use an FHR. Additionally, Demon Tweeks highly recommends harnesses with 2/3" or 2" wide shoulder straps for use with all FHRs to provide the best fit.
