Simpson Hybrid S Head & Neck Restraint - LargeStandard HANS Posts

The Simpson Hybrid S Head and Neck Restraint is a revolutionary, FIA 8858-2010 approved carbon fibre constructed device designed to provide maximum protection during front and side impacts while allowing for easy exit from the car without getting hung up on other gear. Its innovative design sits on your back/shoulders rather than over the chest or collarbone, providing comfort and manoeuvrability. The Hybrid S boasts the lowest profile in the industry, making it quick and easy to enter and exit the race car. The strap design offers excellent manoeuvrability, keeping you firmly seated while allowing for unhindered movement. The device provides better contact with the car and keeps the driver/co-driver more fixed to the seat. The Simpson Hybrid S is supplied ready to fit onto existing FIA Hans posts or can be specified with optional M61 quick release tethers/anchors. These M61 anchors replace your original Hans posts, providing a seamless integration. The M61 helmet anchors and quick release tethers/straps are included with the M61 Quick Release Option. The Hybrid S is compatible with helmets that have standard fitment HANS anchors (or retro-fit anchors) and meets the FIA 8858-2002/FIA 8858-2010 standards or higher. The M61 Quick Release tethers allow for easy release by a simple pull on the cord attached to the helmet, making it ideal for rallying where helmets are frequently taken on and off between stages. For competitors participating in Motorsport UK-sanctioned events, all stage rally competitors must use an FHR (Front Head Restraint), while circuit racing drivers in post-1976 cars must use an FHR. For pre-1977 cars, using an FHR is highly recommended. Demon Tweeks recommends harnesses with 2/3" or 2" wide shoulder straps for use with all FHRs to provide the best fit.
