The Simpson Hybrid Pro Lite Head and Neck Restraint, designed for optimal protection in high-impact situations, is a cutting-edge solution approved by the FIA 8858-2010 standard. As the only FIA-approved device on the market that provides protection during front, offset, and side impacts, it has earned its reputation as a premier choice for motorsport competitors. The Hybrid Pro Lite boasts a lightweight design, 30% lighter than its predecessor, while maintaining maximum comfort and manoeuvrability. Its sleek profile ensures hassle-free exiting of the car without getting hung up on other gear. This device sits comfortably on your back/shoulders, rather than over the chest or collarbone like traditional HANS-type devices. Featuring an innovative tether system design, this restraint provides smooth side-to-side motion and boasts a multi-tasking device that protects with proven, tested, and re-tested technology. Its full-size range of XS-XL ensures a comfortable, custom-like fit for all racers. Key features of the Simpson Hybrid Pro Lite include: * High-quality carbon fibre construction * Unrivalled angular impact protection and device stability * Low profile, minimizing obstruction on exit * Multple load paths to dissipate head loads * Buckle attachment in front, no bulky straps underneath The Simpson Hybrid Pro Lite is supplied ready to fit your existing FIA Hans posts or can be specified with optional M61 quick release tethers/anchors. These M61 anchors are fitted in place of your original Hans posts, allowing the driver to use the Hybrid device with helmets that have standard fitment HANS anchors already fitted (or the correct approval to retro-fit anchors). The M61 helmet anchors and quick release tethers/straps are included with the M61 Quick Release Option. These tethers allow the driver to use the Hybrid device with helmets having FIA 8858-2002/FIA 8858-2010 standard or higher. Note for competitors competing in Motorsport events sanctioned by Motorsport UK: all stage rally competitors must use an FHR, and circuit racing drivers in post 1976 cars must use an FHR. For circuit racing drivers in pre 1977 cars, an FHR is highly recommended. Demon Tweeks recommends harnesses with 2/3" or 2" wide shoulder straps for use with all FHRs to provide the best fit. The Simpson Hybrid Pro Lite weighs approximately 850 grams complete and is FIA 8858-2010 approved.
