The Simpson Hybrid Sport Head and Neck Restraint offers a superior level of protection, comfort, and visibility for car enthusiasts. As the only FIA 8858-2010 approved Head and Neck Restraint on the market, it provides unparalleled protection during front, offset, and side impacts. Designed to make exiting the car easy and safe, this device sits comfortably on your back or shoulders, avoiding the risks associated with traditional HANS-type devices. The Hybrid Sport boasts maximum comfort, maneuverability, and a sleek, modern design. An evolution of the Hybrid Pro Rage, this new model improves upon its design and technology, promising an enhanced product at the same price point as its predecessor. Weighing 20% less than the large version, including hardware, this device features a sleek DuPont carbon/polymer construction with defined wings for improved harness containment. The sliding tethers and multi-tether system provide increased side-to-side range of motion and visibility, ensuring that you can drive safely and confidently. Certified by both SFI 38.1 and FIA, the Hybrid Sport boasts unrivalled angular impact protection and device stability. With its low profile design, this restraint is easy to fit and won't get in the way of your exit from the car. Its compact size makes it ideal for use with existing FIA Hans posts or optional M61 quick release tethers/anchors. Both the M61 helmet anchors and quick release straps are included with the M61 Quick Release Option. The Hybrid Sport is supplied ready to fit, with optional M61 quick release tethers/anchors that allow drivers to use their helmets with standard fitment HANS anchors or retro-fit anchors approved for FIA 8858-2002/FIA 8858-2010 standards or higher. The M61 Quick Release allows drivers to quickly release the restraint by a simple pull on the cord attached to the helmet, making it ideal for rallying where the helmet may be taken on and off frequently. With a weight of approximately 956 grams complete, this device is FIA 8858-2010 approved, ensuring that you're protected during your racing endeavors. For competitors participating in Motorsport UK-sanctioned events, please note that all stage rally competitors must use an FHR, while circuit racing drivers in post-1976 cars must also use an FHR. Demon Tweeks highly recommends harnesses with 2/3" or 2" wide shoulder straps for use with all FHR's to provide the best fit.
