Redback Fault Correction Mini Catalytic Converter

The Redback Fault Correction Mini Catalytic Converter has been specifically designed for vehicles equipped with cat replacement pipes. This innovative solution mounts onto the lambda sensor hole, filtering exhaust gases that flow into the lambda sensor. As a result, the emissions warning light is eliminated, and potential ECU issues are prevented. The converter is engineered to remove fault codes and prevent EML illumination on vehicles fitted with cat bypass pipes. The mini catalytic converter features a universal fitting, compatible with the M18 x 1.5 thread Lambda sensor port. It's essential to note that this solution only filters gases going into the lambda sensor, not gases leaving the rear of the exhaust. While it won't display an error light, it will not pass an emissions test. Important Note: Sports cats cannot be legally installed on a vehicle for use on public roads after 1st March 2001 unless they are type ECE 103R approved. Fitting a De Cat/ Cat Bypass or GPF delete/bypass to a vehicle intended for UK road use will cause the vehicle to fail the MOT emissions test, rendering it unroadworthy and illegal. Remapping Requirements: When replacing your stock cat, a remap is typically required as the ECU will be receiving different readings from the lambda sensors in the exhaust. An upgraded cat is often an essential component of high-performance upgrade packages.
