The Pitking Products Lightweight Aluminium 1/4 Turn Quick Release Self Eject Fasteners offer a superior solution for securing flat or curved panels in racing cars or bikes, providing a significant weight reduction of 50% compared to the Dzus steel equivalent. The fasteners are designed to be easily interchangeable with Dzus fasteners, ensuring a seamless transition. These self-ejecting fasteners feature a simple push-and-turn mechanism, making it easy to secure panels quickly and efficiently. The pin locates on a spring (available separately) which is riveted to the back panel, providing a secure fixing even when deflected. To determine the required fastener length, add the total material thickness to the spring clearance, then subtract the spring deflection (0.047" for the S5 spring or 0.062" for the S6 spring). This calculation will give you the grip thickness, ensuring a precise fit. The Pitking Products Aluminium Fasteners come in two body sizes: a 37mm baseplate with 27mm between rivet holes and a 44mm baseplate with 32mm between rivet holes. The corresponding springs are available separately, with the S5 spring designed for the 37mm fasteners and the S6 spring for the 44mm fasteners. These lightweight Aluminium Fasteners are engineered to provide a reliable and efficient way to secure panels, offering a significant weight reduction without compromising performance.
