The Pitking Products Lightweight Aluminium 1/4 Turn Quick Release Self Eject Fasteners offer an efficient and lightweight solution for securing flat or curved panels in race cars or bikes. These self-ejecting fasteners are designed to provide a quick and reliable way of fastening, making it easy to switch from traditional Dzus steel fasteners. Made from high-quality aluminium, these fasteners boast a 50% weight reduction compared to their Dzus steel counterparts, allowing you to reduce the overall weight of your vehicle without compromising performance. The self-ejecting mechanism ensures that the pin locates securely on the spring (available separately), providing an added layer of security and peace of mind. The Pitking Products fasteners are available in two body sizes: 37mm baseplate with a 27mm rivet hole spacing and a 44mm baseplate with a 32mm rivet hole spacing. To determine which length of fastener you require, simply add the total material thickness to the spring clearance, then subtract the spring deflection (0.047" for the S5 spring or 0.062" for the S6 spring). This calculation provides your material depth or 'grip' thickness. The attachment springs are available separately and come in two sizes: the S5 spring for the 37mm fasteners and the S6 spring for the 44mm fasteners. These springs are designed to provide a secure and reliable fastening experience, ensuring that your panels remain firmly in place.
