The Pitking Products Lightweight Aluminium 1/4 Turn Quick Release Self Eject Fasteners are designed to provide a lightweight and efficient fastening solution for race cars and bikes. Made from aluminium, these fasteners are 50% lighter than their Dzus steel counterparts, making them an ideal choice for reducing weight in your vehicle. The self-ejecting mechanism of these fasteners ensures that they can be easily released with a simple push and turn. Additionally, the pin acts as a quick indicator if the fastener has not been properly secured. The pin locates on a spring (available separately) which is riveted to the back panel and can be deflected to achieve a secure fixing. These fasteners are suitable for fastening flat or curved panels and come in two body sizes: 37mm baseplate with 27mm between rivet holes and 44mm baseplate with 32mm between rivet holes. To determine which length of fastener is required, add the total material thickness to the spring clearance and subtract the spring deflection (0.047" for the S5 spring or 0.062 for the S6 spring). This will give you the material depth or 'grip' thickness. The attachment springs are available separately and should be used in conjunction with these fasteners. For the 37mm fasteners, use the S5 spring, while for the 44mm fasteners, use the S6 spring.
