The Pitking Products fasteners come in two body sizes: 37mm baseplate with 27mm between rivet holes, and 44mm baseplate with 32mm between rivet holes. To determine which length of fastener is required for your application, simply add the total material thickness to the spring clearance, then subtract the spring deflection (0.047" for S5 springs or 0.062" for S6 springs). This calculation will provide your material depth or 'grip' thickness. In addition to their lightweight design and ease of use, these fasteners are also available with attachment springs, which can be purchased separately. For the 37mm fasteners, the S5 spring is recommended, while the S6 spring is suitable for the 44mm fasteners.
