Pitking Products Lightweight Aluminium 1/4 Turn Quick Release Self Eject Fasteners are designed to provide a high-quality, lightweight solution for fastening flat or curved panels in race cars and bikes. Made from aluminium, these self-ejecting fasteners offer a significant weight reduction of 50% compared to the Dzus steel equivalent. These quick-release fasteners are designed to make swapping easy, with the same sizing as Dzus fasteners, making it a like-for-like replacement. The fasteners feature a simple push-and-turn mechanism, which ensures a secure fixing every time. When released, a spring self-ejects the pin, acting as an indicator if the fastener has not been properly fastened. The Pitking Products fasteners are available in two body sizes: 37mm baseplate with 27mm between rivet holes and 44mm baseplate with 32mm between rivet holes. To determine which length of fastener is required, simply add the total material thickness to the spring clearance, then subtract the spring deflection (0.047" for the S5 spring or 0.062 for the S6 spring). This calculation provides your material depth or 'grip' thickness. The attachment springs are available separately and are designed to work in conjunction with the fasteners. For the 37mm fasteners, use the S5 spring, and for the 44mm fasteners, use the S6 spring.
