The Pitking Products Lightweight Aluminium 1/4 Turn Quick Release Self Eject Fasteners offer a superior solution for securing flat or curved panels, providing a lightweight alternative to traditional Dzus steel equivalents. With a 50% reduction in weight, these aluminium fasteners are ideal for applications where weight reduction is crucial, such as on race cars or bicycles. The Pitking Products fasteners are designed to be easily interchangeable with Dzus fasteners, making the transition seamless and straightforward. The self-ejecting mechanism ensures that the pin securely locates on a spring (available separately) which is riveted to the back panel. This feature allows for quick identification of improper fastening. The Pitking Products fasteners are available in two body sizes: 37mm baseplate with 27mm between rivet holes and 44mm baseplate with 32mm between rivet holes. To determine the required fastener length, simply add the total material thickness to the spring clearance, then subtract the spring deflection (0.047" for the S5 spring or 0.062 for the S6 spring). This calculation provides the material depth or 'grip' thickness. The attachment springs are available separately and should be used in conjunction with the corresponding fasteners. For the 37mm fasteners, use the S5 spring, and for the 44mm fasteners, use the S6 spring. Key Features:
