The Mishimoto Performance Air Intake in Wrinkle Blue (Nitrous Blue) is a premium upgrade for car enthusiasts, designed to replace the restrictive stock paper filter and air box with a larger cotton filter that allows for increased airflow. The use of oiled cotton ensures effective capture of dust and moisture, making it an ideal filter material. The mandrel-bent aluminium pipework ensures system velocity remains high throughout the rev range, resulting in improved torque. The air box serves to insulate the intake from the heat generated by the engine bay, preventing heat soak and ensuring optimal performance. It's worth noting that intakes labelled "Race" will adjust air-fuel ratios and should not be used with the stock map. On the other hand, intakes labelled "Cold Air" place the air filter outside of the hot engine bay, providing a cooler intake temperature. The "No Airbox" variant does not come with an air box, but there may be an alternate version available that includes one. These will be labelled "With Airbox".
