The Mocal Dry Sump Tank - Option 2 is an advanced, lightweight solution for improving your vehicle's oil management system. For ease of maintenance during engine rebuilds or servicing, the tank can be disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. The tank's design includes de-aeration properties to ensure that incoming oil remains free from air bubbles. To further protect your engine, it is equipped with anti-surge baffles that minimise harmful surges of oil. The spun alloy construction of the tank keeps its weight low for optimal performance. The tank's suction inlet features a bell mouth design, which ensures a smooth flow of oil and promotes non-turbulent flow. This not only enhances the overall flow volume but also helps prevent any unwanted turbulence within the system. The spinning up inside the tank is specifically designed to counteract surge from the breather fitting under most driving conditions. These Mocal Dry Sump Tanks perform best when they are approximately half full. To determine the optimal size, consider the maximum oil capacity your engine requires plus an additional one-third of the tank's overall capacity. This ensures that you have ample oil for even the most demanding driving scenarios while maintaining peak performance.
