The Micro Dynamics Swift Shift is a versatile tool that seamlessly integrates a shift light and rev limiter into one compact unit. It's designed to support efficient gear shifting by providing clear visual signals for optimal power delivery, while also offering additional features such as full throttle gear changes and rapid start (launch control) when used with a separately available switch. The Swift Shift boasts adjustable rev limits, which can be easily set using a 1/2 engine speed setup to suit your specific driving preferences. Compatible with various ignition systems including negative earth contact breaker, optical breaker, transistorised, and ECU systems, this product caters to a wide range of vehicles. The supplied unit comes in a durable, reusable hard plastic case for added protection during storage and transportation. To ensure proper functionality, it's essential to identify the type of rev limiter needed based on your vehicle's ignition layout. For cars with a single coil setup, where each cylinder has a separate plug lead and a coil lead, the single coil version of the Swift Shift is the appropriate choice. However, if there are coil packs (two or four leads for a four-cylinder engine without a coil lead), you will require the twin coil version instead. Vehicles with coils on the plug are not compatible with this rev limiter due to the lack of separate plug leads.
