Longacre Electric Fuel Pump Cut Off Switch

The Longacre electric fuel pump cut-off switch is specifically engineered to be integrated within the vehicle's oil pressure circuit, typically by connecting it to the engine block or an existing oil pressure switch using a T-Piece connector and 1/8'' NPT thread. By doing so, this device effectively disables electricity supply to the fuel pump in the event of a collision, thereby obstructing the fuel flow that could potentially cause fires. This practical addition can also act as a safeguard for the engine's well-being by ensuring that it does not start until sufficient oil pressure is detected and, once running, will automatically shut down the fuel pump if the oil pressure drops below 12psi. The switch includes a momentary bypass feature, allowing for easy starting or carburettor filling.
