Holley Hydramat Fuel Tank Pickup / Collector - Option 10

The Holley Hydramat Fuel Tank Pickup/Collector - Option 10 is an advanced fuel pickup system engineered to overcome the drawbacks of conventional fuel pickups in both stock fuel tanks and racing fuel cells. During intense driving conditions such as hard cornering, acceleration, braking, inclines, and low fuel levels, fuel tends to accumulate away from the pickup, introducing air into the system which adversely affects engine performance and can even lead to stalling. The Hydramat's innovative design leverages surface tension and fluid wicking properties, enabling it to draw fuel from various areas that come into contact with fuel and store it in its internal reservoir. As an exposed area of the Hydramat becomes uncovered, the microscopic pores in the media sealing off through surface tension, forcing fuel to remain within the reservoir while continuing to extract fuel from other covered areas. The expansive coverage area of the Hydramat allows it to pull fuel from virtually any location in the tank or cell, eliminating the need for specialized reservoirs and pickup pumps, thus reducing costs and simplifying system complexity. The Holley Hydramat is offered in a range of sizes to accommodate various tank dimensions. With square, rectangular, and X-shaped mats available, easy installation can be achieved through different sending unit access holes or fuel cell cover plates. To secure the Hydramat to steel fuel tanks, separately purchasable magnetic fitting kits are available; Type 1 (16-203) for 4-40 magnets and Type 2 (16-204) for 6-32 magnets.
