The Holley Hydramat Fuel Tank Pickup/Collector - Option 9 is a cutting-edge solution for fuel pickup issues in both stock fuel tanks and racing fuel cells. It effectively addresses problems that occur during demanding driving conditions such as hard cornering, acceleration, braking, inclines, and low fuel levels. These circumstances cause fuel to escape from the pick up area, introducing air into the system which results in poor engine performance and even stalling. The Hydramat's innovative design relies on surface tension and fluid wicking properties to draw fuel from various areas that come into contact with it and store it internally. When an area of the mat becomes exposed, the tiny pores seal off through surface tension, trapping fuel in the reservoir and drawing fuel from other areas where it's still available. This feature ensures constant fuel supply, eliminating the need for specialised reservoirs and pick up pumps, saving costs and simplifying complexity. The Hydramat is offered in different sizes to cater to diverse tank dimensions and shapes. It comes in square, rectangular, and X-shaped mats to facilitate easy installation through various sending unit access holes or fuel cell cover plates. For steel fuel tanks, separate magnetic fitting kits are available (Types 1 and 2) to secure the Hydramat at the bottom of the tank.
