Designed for competition use, these filters simply bolt onto their corresponding base plates (available separately), providing optimum air flow, engine protection, and safety. The three-layer 'Trifoam' system ensures that drawn air is filtered in stages, with the inner layer featuring self-extinguishing filter foam to reduce damage from carburettor blowback. The 'Red-band/s' securely attach to the baseplate and maintain overall rigidity, constructed from durable yet lightweight fibre-reinforced nylon. Available in single (for sausage shape) or dual (for flat top shape), ITG's 'Red-band' signature is synonymous with quality and performance. The foam fitted to the filter range is held in a fixed position by a hand-cut wire mesh that ensures all parts of the filter remain optimal for filtration and long-term appearance. ITG recommends a maximum gap between the filter's inside and the carburettor inlet (or trumpets/ram pipes) to ensure sufficient air circulation, with a minimum of 13mm (1/2") or 19mm if ram pipes/trumpets are fitted.
