The ITG Megaflow JC40 Small Twin Carburettor Air Filter, designed for small twin carburettor installations, offers a superior solution for air filtration. Handmade in the UK, the ITG Megaflow Air Filter is crafted to provide ultimate performance while ensuring engine safety. The three-layer 'Trifoam' system filters drawn air in stages, featuring an inner layer with self-extinguishing filter foam that reduces damage to the filter should 'blowback' occur from the carburettor. The 'Red-band/s' securely attach to the baseplate and maintain overall rigidity, constructed from durable yet lightweight fibre-reinforced nylon. This ensures a precise match to the baseplate for minimum induction seepage. Easily identified by the ITG 'Red-band', this signature represents quality and performance. The foam fitted to the 'Sausage' filter range is held in a fixed position by a hand-cut wire mesh, which forms across all of the filter, ensuring optimal filtration and long-term appearance. This includes the filter ends for best shape. ITG recommends a maximum gap between the top of the inside of the filter and the carburettor inlet (or trumpets/ram pipes), ensuring sufficient air circulation. A minimum gap of 13mm (1/2") should provide suitable circulation, with an alternative 19mm gap if ram pipes/trumpets are fitted. The JC40 range is designed for small twin carburettor installations and offers maximum versatility with various inner height sizes available. The filter range ensures optimal performance and protection in different installation requirements.
