The Holley Hydramat Fuel Tank Pickup/Collector - Option 1 is a revolutionary solution designed to address the issues typically encountered with conventional fuel pickups in both stock fuel tanks and racing fuel cells. During demanding driving situations such as high-speed cornering, rapid acceleration, braking, inclines, and low fuel levels, fuel tends to escape from the pickup location, introducing air into the system that can lead to suboptimal engine performance and even stalling. By employing advanced surface tension and fluid wicking principles, the HydraMat is able to draw fuel from a wide range of areas in contact with the fuel and store it within its internal reservoir. This ensures that an uncovered area of the mat seals off through surface tension, allowing fuel to be contained and drawn from other areas of the mat where it remains available. The HydraMat's extensive size and coverage area enable it to pull fuel from virtually any location in the tank or cell, thereby eliminating the need for specialized reservoirs and pickup pumps, which can significantly reduce costs and complexity. This innovative product is available in various dimensions to cater to diverse tank sizes and shapes. Square, rectangular, and cross-shaped mats are designed to accommodate different sending unit access holes and fuel cell cover plates for easy installation.
