When you lift off the throttle in a turbocharged vehicle, the accumulated charge of compressed air requires effective release to ensure uninterrupted performance. Standard dump valves, often featuring weak diaphragms that wear out over time and cause leaks, can lead to turbo lag and sluggish acceleration. Forge Motorsport recognises this issue and offers an extensive range of high-performance Dump Valves/Blow Off Valves. These upgraded valves are engineered for precise pressure release, ensuring your turbocharger stays in boost longer and delivers consistent power delivery. The Forge Type RS High Flow Recirculating Dump Valve is designed specifically for recirculating excess air back into the intake system, discretely and efficiently. This design choice minimises noise and guarantees compatibility with increased boost levels. For selected vehicles, Forge also provides an option between a recirculating dump valve and an atmospheric dump valve. While a recirculating valve returns excess air to the intake system without additional noise, an atmospheric valve vents the pressurised air into the atmosphere, generating that iconic blow-off valve whoosh sound. For certain modern engines, this switch from recirculation to atmospheric venting can present compatibility issues. However, Forge's innovative solutions ensure a wider range of vehicles can enjoy the sporty blow-off noise characteristic of turbocharged cars.
