The Exedy Hyper Single Clutch Kit is a performance-driven upgrade for vehicles that have undergone moderate modifications but do not necessitate the clutch capacity of a multi-plate clutch. It shares several similarities with our multi-plate clutches, including its anodized, forged aluminium cover, which provides increased rigidity compared to stamped covers, thereby maintaining pedal efforts at reasonable levels without any clamp load deflection. All Hyper Single clutch kits include a chromoly steel flywheel, 6-puck cerametallic facing, and a sprung centre damper disc assembly. The disc is smaller and thinner than the OEM disc, resulting in reduced inertia for quicker, easier shifting. Additionally, a series of turbine-like, airflow-enhancing vanes in the pressure plate helps to keep the clutch cooler under extreme operating conditions, improving wear life. The Hyper Single clutch boasts several advancements over its predecessors. Lightweight and low inertia design allows for increased responsiveness, while the high friction coefficient of its special heat-resistant material (T5001) enables both smaller clutch sizes and enhanced durability. The redesigned, stronger damper disc further contributes to improved durability. Overall, this clutch offers a significant improvement in shift response compared to the original fitment clutch, particularly for racing applications. Its features make it an excellent choice for car enthusiasts seeking optimal performance without the need for a multi-plate clutch. Note: The bearing is not included in this kit.
