The Design Engineering Titanium Turbo Shield is a premium solution for turbocharged engines, offering extreme heat protection through its multi-layer construction. This shield is made from pulverised volcanic rock, strained and integrated into a wrap type material, ensuring it can withstand temperatures up to 982°C direct and 1300°C radiant.
With its ability to retain heat in the turbocharger, allowing it to spool faster, this shield reduces under bonnet temperatures, improving engine performance. The double-reinforced seams provide excellent durability, making it capable of withstanding up to 1800°F (982°C) direct heat.
The Design Engineering Titanium Turbo Shields are custom-made for the Garrett range of turbos, fitting snugly around the problematic heat area without excess, reducing waste material and engine bay obstacles. This shield will also fit other turbo brands.
The hard-wearing outer shell material is extremely robust in all environments and is combined with a high-temperature silica-based padded insulation inner layer, forming added protection for the engine bay and turbo. Not only can this shield improve performance under the engine bay but it can also enhance under bonnet appearance.
The shield can be clipped neatly into place, and its 'carbon fibre look' material provides an alternative to traditional turbo covers. The Titanium Turbo Shield is available either as a standalone product or as part of a kit, which comes complete with locking ties and extra titanium exhaust wrap.
