The BMC OTA Universal Filter Kit, with its 82mm inlet and 85mm outlet dimensions, is an oval trumpet airbox made from high-quality carbon fibre. This product delivers exceptional airflow and heat resistance to enthusiasts who desire optimal performance for their vehicles. The BMC OTA airbox's design incorporates a big oiled cotton cone filter, which not only offers increased surface area but also ensures efficient filtration and minimal air resistance. The oily coating on the filter keeps out water and dirt while maintaining low airflow resistance. The 5-layer carbon fibre casing is engineered for excellent heat insulation to ensure that the air passing through remains cool, which is vital because hot air reduces power output when it enters the engine. The carbon fibre's attractive finish also adds a touch of visual appeal to your engine bay setup. With an overall length of 241mm and a case diameter of 167mm, this universal kit can be adapted to fit most vehicles with some fabrication work required for mounting the airbox, plumbing it into the air intake system, and fitting sensors in the pipework. The case dimensions for engines over 1.6 litres are 197 x 132mm (82mm inlet, 85mm outlet) for the BMCOTA 70/85 kits (lengths of 170-B, 197-B, 200-B, and 230-B respectively). Please note that due to its universal nature, this kit may require modifications to fit your vehicle. This can include adapting the airbox mounting, connecting it to the existing air intake pipework, and repositioning sensors in the pipework.
