The BMC OTA Universal Filter Kit is an advanced aftermarket carbon fibre airbox designed to optimise airflow and thermal management for your engine. It features a 70mm inlet and a 70mm outlet, with a 200mm case length, making it suitable for various high-performance applications. This airbox is constructed from premium quality carbon fibre that not only enhances heat resistance but also adds an aesthetic appeal to your engine bay. The oval trumpet design of the airbox promotes a smoother and more lag-free flow of air into the engine, reducing power loss caused by turbulence. The kit includes a large cone filter made from oiled cotton material that boasts increased surface area for improved filtration and enhanced airflow through the inside of the airbox. This type of filter ensures low resistance to air passing through while effectively retaining water and dirt, ensuring optimal engine performance. The 5-layered carbon casing insulates the air inside the airbox from external heat sources, preserving the density and cooling properties of the incoming air. This feature is crucial for maximising horsepower and torque delivery throughout the rev range, as high temperatures can have a detrimental effect on engine performance. The BMC OTA Universal Filter Kit comes in various sizes to cater to different engine displacements, ranging from smaller kits for engines below 1.6L to larger kits for more powerful engines. This universal fitment does require some custom fabrication to install it into your vehicle, including mounting the airbox, connecting it to the air intake system, and integrating sensors into the pipework.
