The material specification of these bolts is 316 Stainless Steel, which contains iron alloys with a minimum of 10.5% chromium, along with other elements such as Nickel, Molybdenum, Titanium, Copper, Carbon, and Nitrogen. The chromium-rich, oxide film provides corrosion resistance, making the protective film strong and chemically stable.
The corrosion-resistant properties of these bolts make them ideal for low-stress applications where a durable finish is required. Additionally, they have good resistance to oxidation in intermittent service up to 870°C and continuous service up to 925°C. However, it's not recommended to use them continuously at temperatures between 425-860°C.
