Pro-Bolt Countersunk Stainless Steel Bolts - M6 x 1.00mm x 35mm (30mm)
These high-quality countersunk bolts from Pro-Bolt are manufactured from 316 Stainless Steel, offering superior strength and corrosion resistance. The bolts are buffed to a mirror finish, requiring no additional polishing.
Material Specification:
The 316 Stainless Steel is an iron alloy with a minimum of 10.5% chromium, combined with other elements such as Nickel, Molybdenum, Titanium, Copper, Carbon, and Nitrogen to enhance properties like formability and strength. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel comes from the chromium-rich, oxide film that provides a strong protective film.
This protective film is extremely thin and will usually self-repair if sufficient oxygen is available. However, under certain conditions, the passive state can break down, leading to corrosion.
Application:
The 316 stainless steel is suitable for low-stress applications where a durable finish is required.
Heat Resistance:
The 316 has good resistance to oxidation in intermittent service up to 870°C and in continuous service up to 925°C. However, it's not recommended to use it continuously at temperatures between 425-860°C.
Torque & Lububrication:
For torque values, refer to your equipment manufacturer or the listed values below. Antiseize or copper-based paste is recommended for thread lubrication to prevent galling (where friction causes two stainless steel components to bond together). If threadlock is used, a medium-grade threadlock is recommended.
The countersunk bolt length measurements include the head, and the number in brackets represents the thread length.
